Hi family!

I am sorry to do this to you again, but I spent all of my time writing, reading your wonderful letters and writing a good letter to President Spjut, so heres my short letter for the week. Simply to say that I love you and I am so glad your all doing so well. I loved your letters and the pictures from this week! And cant wait to hear from you next week! I am doing really good...only surviving the cold...it says 90 degrees...but im so used to the heat...that 90 is really really cold. The storms are really fun here...rivers in the streets and we go home soaking wet but full of laughter and smiles every day. I have never been so thankful for a warm bed and hot chocolate and pupusas. But the work is good and I am just loving life! Cant believe I will be finishing the first 9 months of my mission this week. It all goes by too fast.  Love you all so much and pray for you all every day!!! Have a good week!

Hermana Stoor

PS - I had asked a few questions that she answered in a separate email:  Momma! Sounds like everyone is good at home...always worry about Grandma and Grandpa...how are they? We are coming up with an idea for my big hump day. hahahaha cant believe 9 months already have passed by. Life seems normal to me now. haha I will try to remember to take pictures of the house...the sinks are always outside. hahaha The members are friendly...but we spend the least amount of time we can with them...always causes problems but we eat with a member and visit our mission leader and president of the branch more than anyone else...because they are funny and give us food. I dont know what to say...all seems pretty normal to me. haha love you so much...have fun at the fair....it will be my 3rd year of not going. but i only miss rodeos and the bar j. haha LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH!  Hermana Stoor

Hermana Stoor,

I loved your letter. Great attitude and testimony. I too have faith that you can accomplish the goals you set by the Spirit, and I know you will give all to make it happen. I love your statement,"I think I have finally been able to find the Nephi in me." Go and do what the Lord has commanded.

Pdte. Spjut

Received this nice letter from President Spjut this week. I am so happy to be here in the mission and to work with him and his wife. They are such wonderful people. I think it was President Uchtdorf that once said that we are in the missions where we are for our mission president. I think it is so true! I love them so much! Also received this text from Hermana Spjut:

Hi!  Just thinking of both of you and sending abrasos through cyberspace to you. Good night :)

Here's my new companion...Hermana Romero! She is from Guatemala and is such a wonderful wonderful person and missionary. I am so glad we have the chance to work together! She has such a sweet spirit and we teach in almost the same way so there hasn't been a big adjustment. Our goals are to baptize a family this change and be obedient and reach all of the standards of excellence that President has put forth. I am so excited to be with her and know the Lord is working at our side. We are already seeing miracles here and hope to see alot more.

I have to go...but just know that I love the Lord and that I know that this is his true church. I know that if we take part in this invitation that the Lord has given to all men, that we will be saved and that we can all live in the presence of our loving Heavenly Father again:

Just do it! 2 Nefi 9:
21 And he cometh into the world that he may save all men if they will hearken unto his voice; for behold, he suffereth the pains of all men, yea, the pains of every living creature, both men, women, and children, who belong to the family of Adam.
22 And he suffereth this that the resurrection might pass upon all men, that all might stand before him at the great and judgment day.
23 And he commandeth all men that they must repent, and be baptized in his name, having perfect faith in the Holy One of Israel, or they cannot be saved in the kingdom of God.
24 And if they will not repent and believe in his name, and be baptized in his name, and endure to the end, they must be damned; for the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has spoken it.
25 Wherefore, he has given a law; and where there is no law given there is no punishment; and where there is no punishment there is no condemnation; and where there is no condemnation the mercies of the Holy One of Israel have claim upon them, because of the atonement; for they are delivered by the power of him.
26 For the atonement satisfieth the demands of his justiceupon all those who have not the law given to them, that they are delivered from that awful monster, death andhell, and the devil, and the lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment; and they are restored to that God who gave them breath, which is the Holy One of Israel.
Here's the pants..... :( :( :( :(
And my small, amazing district :)

And a photo for Dad of the Volcano...Izalco :)....our area is at the top of the mountain at its side.

Transfer week

It breaks my heart to say it....but my compañera is going to leave me. We got a call from President in the morning and my companion is not going to finish her mission with me but is going to finish her mission as a training leader and is leaving for the other side of the mission. :( But I will continue here in Los Naranjos with my new companion as a senior companion. We will be changing on Wednesday, so i will let you know more next week but my new companion is Hermana Romero. From what I have heard she is from Guatemala and has 4 months in the mission. So I am excited to know her and hope that she is ready to work :)

We had a super good last week here in Los Naranjos together. I am always going to be so so so grateful for the chance to work with Hermana Gamarra. I have learned a ton from her and have grown more in these two changes than in all my time here in the mission. We definitely had our challenges and our fights but we always finished as friends. She feels more like a sister for me....I told her I will send my brother down to Peru to marry her so she can come back and live with me. haha We worked our hearts out this last week and were able to find 16 new people and two families that I have so so so much hope for! My goal in this next change is to baptize a family. We were able to contact over 20 references and talked with everyone we could find. I have so much faith that if we can keep working like I have been with Hermana Gamarra that we are going to be able to reach our biggest goals here in this area. Right now, we don't have anyone that is progressing towards baptism... but I have hope for something better in this new week. Lots of prayers that my new companion will be a hard worker!

I dont really know what more to say....I am just working my heart out. I know without a doubt in my mind that this is the Lords work and I am not going to waste another minute of it. He has people prepared for me and I`m going to find them. I think I have finally been able to find the Nephi in me. Laman and Lemuel wanted to back down from Jerusalen before they fulfilled the commandment that the Lord had given them. Nephi was more faithful and was not willing to back down until he fulfilled the purpose that the Lord had given him. I know I am here with a grand purpose. And I`m going to work as hard as I can until I fulfill it. The glory of God is my glory. And His purpose is becoming mine. TO BRING TO PASS THE IMMORTALITY AND ETERNAL LIFE OF MAN. There is no greater joy than being a part of this grand work. I know my Father in Heaven loves me and that his Son Jesus Christ lives. I know it with all of my heart. They are real! They love us! And are preparing something marvelous for us!

I love you all,
Hermana Stoor

I had the chance to go so Auachapan to buy pants....and the Alfaro family from Turìn came to have lunch with us. I LOVE THIS FAMILY WITH ALL MY HEART!

Here was my letter to President Spjut...because I don't have time to write anymore...but you can know a little bit of what we did this week:::
Presidente Spjut
I consider this week as one of the weeks we have grown the most in this area. Most of the investigators that we had all decided last week that they were not interested anymore. So we had to start pretty much from nothing again this week. We were able to find 14 new people, 6 of which were really really positive. We were able to work alot with our references this week and mostly spent time contacting new people. We had alot of success. I am excited to see what this new week brings as we work with these people and families that we are now visiting. I like what you said, that out goals reflect the desires of our hearts and our vision of what we can achieve. I feel like our goals are set very well for this week and I am excited to see what we can achieve. My goals of my heart for this week are to talk with every person in the street, contact all of the references that we have right now and reach the goal of having 35 lessons with investigator. I have learned alot in this past week and am excited to put it into practice throughout the week. I feel better than I ever have in my whole mission. I feel the spirit guiding me. I feel a true desire to help these people come unto Christ and take those steps that will lead them to the celestial kingdom. I know this work is the work of the Lord and I know we don't have a minute to waste of His time. Thank you for your prayers and your support for us here in Los Naranjos.

Alma 24

Love you all!!!!!!!!!!!
Hermana Stoor
Hermana Spjut took this picture of us at stake conference this week. These three missionaries are life savers for me. They didn't lie when they said you will find some of your best friends in the mission. The worst part is....Hermana Ramos leaves in a week and my comp and hermana Guzman the next change. :(
Hna. Guzman (Honduras) Hna. Gamarra (Peru) and Hna. Ramos (Mexico)

Sometimes we think we are cool.... with President Walter and Nelson.

We opened up a new...very very hot part of our area this week. Its about 15 minutes in bus from our house...but it was so worth the time! We were able to find 5 new investigators in only an hour and a half.
I LOVE LAS CRUCES.

On p day our house owner (on my right side) had a party in her part of the house...so we sat and watched a bunch of old, single people dance and sing and flirt all day...it was quite entertaining.

Dad said you needed some rain???

I am the favorite missionary when its my turn to bring the refigerio to the family home evening...a suitcase full of popcorn and hot chocolate.

Also....gracias a Dios I brought some candles with me from my last area...we were left without light for the tormento of rain and wind. I have fear almost every day and night that the windows of our house are going to break open. It is serious business here in Los Naranjos

Had the chance to do intercambios with Hna. Guzman. She is a gem.

Just another picture of us being...cool :)

I just cant get enough pictures with these girls. Our second to last hurrah with Hermana Ramos and Hermana Chapman.

After intercambios we went to their house to study....but who can study when there are bunch of marching bands passing by the house. I love El Salvador.

Like I said...I'm officially Salvadorañia :) :)
